La Horqueta is located next to Vitel Lagoon, only 120 km. from Buenos Aires. It can be accessed directly from the National Highway Route 2. The place offers accommodation in its main house and the guest house.
The Tudor style chalet was constructed in 1928 by Félix Pierri, grandfather of the present owner. It comprises four comfortable and cozy rooms, including two suites.
The guest house was recently built and comprises five rooms.
The houses are surrounded by an ancient park, a lagoon and the endless Pampean horizon. A breath of fresh air, a slight breeze and birds singing create unique moments. The grounds feature over 600 species, both native and exotic, that change the landscape’s colors according to the season.
The lagoon provides excellent fishing.
Such a generous geography offers plenty of opportunities for birdwatching: there are black necked swans, green-winged teals, mallards, wood ducks, black-belled wisting ducks, albatross, cormorants, flamingos and herons, among many other species.
Guests can also explore the pampean plains and its fauna on horseback. Along the way are hares, mules and foxes, as well as the Aberdeen Angus cattle.
The place’s old shed was transformed into a “quincho” , a spacious room equipped with a fireplace and wide window panels which provide an excellent view to the most beautiful sunsets. The shed is the place where the exquisite local dishes are served.
Other activities include trekking, bycicles, soccer, ping pong, volleyball, croquet, chess and other board games. There is also a children area, and a swimming pool.
